Participation Requirements – Important Information for All Students & Parents

The Summer Scheme is not a £25 drop‑in flying session. It is a structured, fully supervised drone training and flying programme designed for students who already have a basic understanding of drone operation and want safe access to a controlled environment to build confidence and gain real flying experience.

The programme is inclusive and suitable for all students, including wheelchair users, ladies, pensioners and learners with accessibility needs. Supportive and accessible flying arrangements are always in place.

Students must arrive with:

  • A basic understanding of how to operate a drone
  • A valid Flyer ID, Operator ID, and Drone Insurance Certificate
  • A willingness to follow all safety instructions

For complete beginners, we strongly recommend completing the Beginner Drone Pilot Training Course before joining the Summer Scheme, as this foundation can be undertaken over a series of months across the summer to build skills gradually and safely.

All participants must comply with the full Terms & Conditions, which ensure safety, legal compliance and a positive experience for all students.

The Summer Scheme provides safe, supervised access to a controlled flying environment, enabling pilots to enjoy flying, build confidence and develop practical skills.
