Q: What age groups can participate? A: We welcome learners from age 8 and up accompanied with an adult, with sessions tailored to different skill levels, we are only accepting 4 students on a day at the moment.
Q: Do I need prior drone experience? A: No prior experience is necessary. We offer beginner to advanced training.
Q: What equipment do I need? A: We can provide drones and equipment for training sessions however, I encourage you to bring your own drone.
Q: Are your courses CAA accredited? A: Yes, our professional training courses A2 CofC & GVC meet CAA standards, however, our Beginner Drone Pilot Training & Summer Scheme Courses are not.

Summer 2026 Training Academy Scheme
To ensure a safe, compliant and professional learning environment, all participants in the Drone Pilot Training Academy – Summer 2026 Training Academy Scheme must adhere to the following requirements:
Drone Insurance
All participants must have valid drone insurance in place before attending the scheme.
A copy of your Drone Insurance Certificate must be emailed to:

Participants without proof of insurance will not be permitted to fly.
Flyer ID & Operator ID Requirements
To comply with UK drone regulations:
- All participants must hold a valid Flyer ID.
- If you are 16 years old or over, you must also hold a valid Operator ID.
- Please check your documentation in advance to ensure it is current and correct.
Drone Equipment Requirements
Participants that bring their own drone to the training scheme your drone must meet the following conditions:
- Fully charged batteries
- Latest firmware/software updates installed
- A valid Operator ID clearly displayed on the aircraft (as required by the CAA)
Drones without a visible Operator ID will not be allowed to fly.
